They still insist I have to use the GB:

Support folks aren't always the brightest, forgive them. Have you pointed it out to them that AM Beta has an updated IBAN?

And as I suggested, if you want your confirmation that the accounts are the same, you should actually rather talk to citibank, they're the ones who should know for sure.

Or pay the SWIFT fee

If you switch to "AM beta" view in the account management and open a wire-transfer position there, it will display you the CH IBAN just fine!
