Postal Customs

Hey all,

So i made a purchase online about two weeks back in the UK for E -Liquid. I have done it about 4 times before with no problems. This time when I am tracking the item it says it still has to cleared by customs which has been their since 8 days. The other four times I did it I had no problems and it took about two days to clear through. Has anyone had to wait over a week or weeks for the customs to clear your items?

Yep, I had a parcel of two Marks and Spencer T-shirts and a bag of boiled sweets from my grandmother stalled at Chiasso (??) for two months because it needed to be "cleared by customs".

When I received it, the giftwrap had been torn open, the sweet packet had been opened and spilled most of the sweets out, and the birthday card was bent and had somehow been exposed to damp. Gobshites.

That's sad and a quite poor "sympathy" for the customers

By the way, when I set all my personal stuff from spain to switzerland the boxes when arrived look something like this...

That all happened on the Spanish side

Guess customs will slow even more with Christmas coming along.

Re: Postal Customs

When this happened to me, I wrote to the customs office and asked if there was a problem. They answered straight away saying they couldnít clear the package as the invoice wasnít included. So all I had to do was send them my confirmation of purchase from Marks & Spencerís showing what I had bought and for how much and it was realeased the same day.

Re: Postal Customs

Who is the delivery agent ?
If it is the Swiss Post, you normally get a letter, in the case of items which are held, asking you for further details. Example

Re: Postal Customs

Yes its swiss post but so far have not had any kind of letter from them.

Okay I might send them an email and hopefully can get it cleared asap. Never seemed to get through on the phone yesterday.
