I'm a web developer and as such my physical location is not so much bound to the company's physical location. I live & work in Switzerland, although the company is located in UK (legally).

I work with a British LLC, who pays me in EUR to my Dutch bank account and from that bank account I transfer to my Postfinance account to use the money, my savings stay in my Dutch bank account.

My questions are as follows:

1. Do I need to pay pension?
a. If yes, on a monthly or yearly basis? Where?
2. Can I report taxes on a monthly basis? Or only on a yearly basis (during tax season)?
3. Can an accountant help me with this?

Other relevant data:

- Nationality Italian
- B permit
- Solothurn canton
- Moved in in July, haven't done any of this yet
- I do pay Swiss health insurance

Ah other info. I'm not a freelancer. I am full-time employed, I work 40 hours per week.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Taxing / pension questions for non-Swiss company (but I'm living & working in Sui

There are three possible options for an employee resident in Switzerland of a foreign company:

1. ANOBAG
- the current employment relationship would continue as is and you would be responsible for Swiss social charges, including pillar 1 pension, and organizing a pillar 2 pension
2. Payroll service
- the payroll service would contract with the UK company and you would become an employee of the payroll service
3. Establish you own legal entity, e.g., GmbH
- your legal entity would contract with the UK company and employ you

To answer your questions:
1. Do I need to pay pension?
- Yes, both government pillar 1 and private pillar 2 pensions
a. If yes, on a monthly or yearly basis? Where?
- Pillar 1 would be paid monthly and pillar 2 payments would depend on the agreement with the pension provider
2. Can I report taxes on a monthly basis? Or only on a yearly basis (during tax season)?
- You would be subject to Quellensteuer (source tax) which is due monthly
3. Can an accountant help me with this?
- Yes

@Mullhollander

OK thank you for your answers.

I am completely a newbie when it comes to taxes. I mean I understand them I think, but this is only my second year handling them, certainly in a foreign language.

I understand there are some stickied posts for accountants and this sort of thing, but are there any you might recommend for canton Solothurn for this particular situation of mine?

Thanks.

For the record, I intend to continue with ANOBAG, as that seems to be the least problematic. But please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes I have filed, in Mexico and in the Netherlands.

Mexico pension and such is optional though if self-employed, and in the Netherlands I must simply report my income etc. at the end of the year to confirm if the previously reported taxes by my employer are correct.

https://www.akso.ch/dienstleistungen...bag/print.html

https://www.akso.ch/fileadmin/akso/d...dungANnbAG.pdf

This broker offers BVG pillar 2 pension/ insurance from AXA.
- I do not know anything about this broker but the webpage is in English:

Registration for Quellensteuer is with the Solothurn tax office. See this webpage:

Re: Taxing / pension questions for non-Swiss company (but I'm living & working in Sui

under anobag, if you don't already have a pillar 2 account, then you can contribute to a pillar 3 account at a much higher annual limit, see

https://www.ch.ch/en/3rd-pillar

Does that mean that basically I can grow my pension pot (from which I can withdraw) with less limits?
