Interestingly, the SQ added additional 5 altcoins to their crypto product selection yesterday already consisted of 12 cryptocurrencies but they haven’t updated their website yet.

New ones are:
ADA (Cardano)
MKR (Maker)
Filecoin (Gil)
Uniswap (Uni)
yearn.finance (YFI)
I added some ADA (Cardano) to my stack of Alts in Dec. last year which has 7x-ed in the meantime.

I was exactly thinking about Cardano as the next big purchase.

I’m very happy with all of the above 12 since all of them gained multiples. Especially, very excited about XRP’s future as Ripple filed the motion for the case to be dismissed against them and currently has won on many major aspects in the lawsuit by SEC.

People either love or hate XRP. I don't own any and its past history has seen several massive volatility to the downside which makes me cautious. That said it most probably will surpass its previous ATH once again.

These three are noteworthy in my opinion and relatively cheap yet:

XRP gained around 580% since Jan 2021

XLM gained about 360% since Jan 2021
https://www.fxstreet.com/cryptocurre...e-202104160510

ZRX gained about 450% since Jan 2021

I guess, I don’t need to introduce them as they are one of the top crypto’s on the market.

Re: Get started trading crypto currencies

If anyone is interested the main YTer I follow for ideas is Benjamin Cowen. He tends to look at data analysis as opposed to techn. analysis which suits me better. His most recent live show deals with various alt coins including ADA, LINK, ETH, XRP, DOGE and others.

Another thing I also do is to always look at prices of alt coins relative to BTC. If a coin has a history of typically bleeding against btc there is little value owning it. This is easily done on https://www.worldcoinindex.com/ Just change USD in the blue box to BTC.

Could you please elaborate how you analyze the quality and price of a cryptocurrency? Genuine question. Thanks.

It’s a long story. Besides many articles dedicated to their technical analysis of particular coin, I read the tech news about their functionality/usability and new announcements in terms of e.g. new features added, which banks or financial institutions adopt or rate which crypto-currency based on which “xyz” factor, other rumors and etc. There is really plenty of news out there, some useful some useless (same as in the stock market). Important is to track the news/events of very single coin on daily basis. That’s all in a longshot though and you can never be sure.

Example was XRP, which is very tricky coin:

1. Latest outcome from the lawsuit.
2. Practical application and potential to grow.
3. Adoptability by banking institutions.
4. Popularity amongst investors.
5. Miscellaneous factors.

It used to be the coin number 3 in the crypto-rankings and only dropped due to delisting by exchanges as a result of SEC-Ripple court case. Currently it is fighting its way back to regain the righteous place.

Foremost you have to have affinity for cryptocurrencies, understand their future investment potential and believe in what you are doing. You must be able to stomach their up and down swings and not let emotions overpower you in the process.

As the starting point one can take this brief article and research crypto thingies deeper and deeper:
