Paying Tax Monthly in Geneva

Dear All,

I've recently transitioned from B Permit (tax-at-source) to a C Permit. Unfortunately, I don't have the kind of cash necessary to pay my 2018 tax in one lump sum, so I need to arrange monthly payments (which is also a prerequisite for delaying the filing of my 2017 accounts).

Could anyone tell me how I can arrange a monthly payment please? I've registered for GE-Tax and completed the "Demander un modification de mes acomptes", but what happens next? I was expecting some kind of online form to arrange an LSV.

All the best

James.

You just ask for increments and they will send you pink payment slips. Most people can't pay the lump sum, this is normal. I've done it.

Thank you, I will call them and ask for the payment slips. Presumably they will know how much to charge me each month based on the "Demander un modification de mes acomptes" I filled out?

Sorry to ask such basic questions, but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of guidance from the authorities on this process.

There is, just ask them.

Your tax authorities will tell you what amount approximately, send you the payslips an are otherwise also very helpful
