Paying additional tax when taxed at source

Tried searching for this but couldn't find anything that covers it.

I'm on a B permit and therefore pay withholding tax, but have to complete a tax return each year due to the level of income.

Usually, my assessed tax is roughly what I have had deducted in withholding tax and I just wait for the official assessment to be done and pay anything extra due to overseas income etc, along with the small bit of interest that I am charged.

I have just finished doing my 2017 return and for the first time, I had a substantial amount of income that wasn't taxed at source, which means that based on the tax calculation from the online return and the withholding tax from my statement, I owe about 10,000fr in additional tax.

How do I go about making a payment for this amount? There is no payment slip with the tax return or any mention of making payments and I really don't want to wait for the official assessment and have to pay interest on that amount.

Once the return is checked they'll likely send you some payment slips so you can pay it all at once or in instalments. Or you could just pop into your tax office and ask them for a payment slip.

Re: Paying additional tax when taxed at source

Why pay in advance?

Just wait for the bill.

I just got my bill for 2013, and 2015 and 2016 should be coming soon as well.
