Where to move 2nd pillar pension fund?

Hello,

I would like to get your opinion on what would you do with 2nd pillar pension fund. I was made redundant and I have to move it to a vested account (in 1 month from now). Iím not sure if I will stay in CH, I might move to some EU country (not UK) but not sure yet. These are the questions that I canít get around:

Would you open two accounts and split it? If yes, why?

Would you leave it with the bank with 0.05% interest rate and no costs, pension institution with 0.6% interest rate and no costs (full amount guaranteed by the canton) or would you invest it in foundation for vested pension benefits with quite some costs? Why?

If investing in foundation for vested pension benefits which one would you choose Ė Liberty, PensFree, some other and why? Any experience with them?

I am aware that long term investing would be (probably) the best thing but Iím risk averse person so trying to find something that is "safe" and not eaten by (too high) fees or market crash.

Many thanks in advance!!

Hi,

I have the exact same question as you. Since your post, have you come across any helpful information or websites about the topic that you wouldn't mind sharing?

Thanks!

Hi,

Decided to post here for future searchers: found a lot of useful information in several threads, f.ex. this one https://www.englishforum.ch/insuranc...while-rav.html

I used Pictet in Geneva, after a transfer form Swiss Life & a second from AXA Winthutur. They allowed without complication 100% was when leaving for the EU, I could have paid less tax in Zug, but I would still be waiting for my money.

You did not have to give any reason when taking it? Like going self employed or buying a house etc?

I did not have the requirement to be insured in the country I moved to on the day in question.
