How to deal with non-listed fund on ICTAX ?

Hi all,

I'm preparing to fill my first Swiss Tax return. I'm a permit B holder, taxed at the source, living in Canton de Vaud (Lausanne).

From what I understand, I can fill a simplified tax return to claim the third pillar deduction. On this return, I also have to indicate other incomes that I have, such as income from stocks.

I have a few (accumulating) ETF in a French brokerage account. If I understood correctly, despite the fact that they are accumulating, I still need to declare a yield, using ictax.ch to get it. That's where my problem is: some of my ETFs are not listed on the website (yet), and some others are listed, but the yield is not yet computed...

I was wondering what I should do in that case? I'm pretty confident that the funds that are not listed now will be at some point, since they are "general public" ETF, authorized to be sold to the Swiss public. However, looking at the previous years, it can be that the yield for a fund is only computed later in the year, sometimes as far as December! But the deadline to send the tax return is March, 31. So, what should I do in the mean time:

- Assume 0 yield and indicate with a separate letter to the tax office that I have issue with these stocks?
- Put question marks in the appropriate cases?
- Assume a reasonable yield (3 - 5%?) based on the share values and use it, again indicating with a separate letter to the tax office that I have issue with these stocks?

(The total amount I have is quite limited, we're speaking about a total 1000 CHF income from the stocks, tops).

Thanks a lot for you help !

Send them an email to add it - it worked for others.

Thanks! I contacted them, and indeed, as soon as the annual reports are available (they should soon be, in my case), I just have to send them to them and they will add them, if not already done.
They actually seem quite nice to deal.

I think you are over complicating this, if they don't distribute then show 0 income, if the tax office want to correct it they will. From experience they don't.

No need to write a letter, they will write to you if they have any questions.

Yes, it's one of my flaws... Anyway, Dr Mick, I contacted them using this form.

They are quite efficient, I emailed them a link to the annual reports last Sunday at 11pm, I got a reply the next day at 8:30am to tell me that all the funds I needed had been added
