Dividends in Tax declaration in Geneva

I have an account with Interactive Brokers. I have filled W-8BEN form and pay 15% withholding tax on dividends.

I understand that I need to declare my dividend incomes as a taxable income, however, the tax application software is different from one canton to another. Is there anyone having experience with filling the tax form in Geneva?

Should you fill the dividend income into "Rendements bruts non soumis à l'impôt anticipé"? That's the only selection that allows to reclaim tax as per DA1 form. ( I have uploaded an screenshot herehttps://ibb.co/ZfH3tSp)

Re: Dividends in Tax declaration in Geneva

Hello,

under "Rendements bruts non soumis à l'impôt anticipé""you have the full amount of dividends (means 100%= brut) received in 2018? In your case 145 CHF.

In the line RSI must appear the amount of withhold taxes in the US, means 15 % of the Dividends brut=22CHF. The amount will be credited to your final tax bill.

Re: Dividends in Tax declaration in Geneva

I contacted the Geneva authorities to get their advice. The attachment I have posted is correct. RSI needs to be filled only if you are trading via a Swiss broker.

There is also a good explanation in the following article.
