No I don't have any income at all, nor assets if I understand that word correctly. The only thing I have for now is my private bank account with the saving that I brought over when I moved here, but I don't see how they would want/be able to tax that.
Not sure if this is still up to date, as I’ve not lived in Zurich for 5 years, but when I filled out my first tax return in 2011, I used this guide.

Re: Guidance to the tax declaration 2018 - questions

I've completed my 2019 tax return in ZH using the online Privattax portal. On the release cover sheet it mentions sending the access code...but isn't the cover sheet the access code for the authorities?

Any help here would be good.

You need the access code for submitting your tax declaration online (through private tax), but this will not exempt you from sending over any receipts to the taxoffice.

Yes that much I understand, and I used this to gain access to the platform and complete my tax return.

My question is: surely I don't have to send this number in with the documents? I would assume the barcode on the coversheet authorises that.
