Cashback credit card from Swisscard

Greetings everyone, I am getting rid of my Postfinance credit card and was wondering whether you could share your experience with the Swisscard cash back card, https://www.cashback-karte.ch/en/

Also, I am not sure I understand the pros and cons of the no-fee credit cards.
Is it just points and travel insurance (Migros & Coop) vs cash back (Swisscard)?

Thank you.

Re: Cashback credit card from Swisscard

Why are you ditching your PF CC? I am thinking of doing this as well. Have to decide within a couple of months before the next annual charge.
PostFinance only charge 1.2% on foreign transactions, with the bonus programme this means 0.9%.

On the Cashback card it's 1.5% I see. With the bonus off that makes it 1%, but only until the end of 2019. Thereafter it will be 1.25%.

I'm thinking of getting rid of the PF CC as I don't use it enough in CH to justify having it and will no longer accumulate enough to cover the annual charge and make it free. For foreign transactions I have another card with no extra charge.

It is actually pretty simple: I not willing to
1. pay PF for the privilege to hold my money while paying me 0% interest, plus
2. pay PF for giving me a credit card when I pay the balance in full every month.

Till last year I was only paying for (2); since January 2019 I have to pay for (1), but there is no way I will pay for both.

Revolut charges 0 on foreign transactions

Re: Cashback credit card from Swisscard

I too am annoyed PF has started to charge. I think they could have made exceptions for long-time clients. Had my account for over 15 years with them.

I have a Revolut card and used it regularly but am a bit wary about how safe they are. I don't like that they have no address in CH. I mean what if things go wrong, or you need to do a chargeback or something?

Also they were charging to top up using another card. Initially 1% then it went up to around 1.8%. They said there was no fixed charge. I never understood their response. This charging may have stopped, but am not sure as I stopped using it when I saw how long and how many times I had to ask for a refund of a charge I was not forewarned about on the top screen.

I didn't find their price/conditions page. What is the benefit over Migros Cumulus credit cards?

You get cashback instead of points.

Re: Cashback credit card from Swisscard

I would recommend the Migros/Cembra Bank credit card. The Coop Supercard/Swisscard is not worth the trouble. I ditched the Postfinance card, when they announced the new account fee.

I only use the card for chf payments, otherwise any swiss card is much too expensive for paying in other currencies
