2019 banking

Hello everyone im going to open a bank account and I would like to know the cheapest or best options for a young worker. I was thinking either post or raiffeisen, since they are very close to where I live. Any opinions? Thanks in advance

Thanks, are there any banks cheaper than postfinance? I need to use a credit card to buy stuff online.

Re: 2019 banking

The Kantonal Banks have a points loyalty programme for their Viseca Visa cards which effectively means there is no fee on the credit cards because you can use the loyalty points to pay for the annual fees, depending on your spend and points accrual

Revolut is not a bank(yes, UK/LT licenses kept in mind) and I would advise against using it as such.

Suggestion was included for use as online credit card payments.

whereas those from Revolut are technically debit ones.

but it really depends on where they will be paying online - betting websites are no longer supported for example, even for refunds.

Making costly purchases means one would need to deposit considerable amounts prior(debit cards are these), and with current invasive practices and lack of banking-like conduct I just don't see why one would consider doing that.

Revoult at the moment is good for ForEx(which if done intensively, will get you banned) and walk-with money.

Re: 2019 banking

Raiffeisen may not be the cheapest but I think they are much better than PostFinance, and certainly better, cheaper and more personal then the big 3.

Re: 2019 banking

Unless you got at least Chf 10k to deposit and leave on deposit, they will all be very similar, you'll save 5 cents on one service and spend 5 cents on another
