Re: Migros bank personal loan

Filled in the form, provided proof of income, got the money, spend the money, paid back the money. All very easy.

What more would there be to it?

And as with any Swiss personal loan according the KKG (https://www.admin.ch/opc/de/classifi...555/index.html) you can pay it back prematurely w/o any penalty and save interest.

Re: Migros bank personal loan

The Migros banmk are good and usually one of the cheapest for loans however they do not loan to anybody and you need a solid track record.

Their loans are cheap and correspondingly they need to keep the defaults to a minimum to offer such loans.

Re: Migros bank personal loan

I think the rate is also lower if you do it online rather than through a branch.

Re: Migros bank personal loan

Anyone who got a loan with them, how much was the interest rate approximately? I heard it's between 4.7% to 5.9%

4.7% to 5.9% online, 5.9% branch, which is pretty o.k. for personal loans.

Good for Switzerland, but a 5.4% spread to the base rate is large vis-à-vis the creditworthiness of the people they lend to. Consumer finance in Switzerland is expensive for those with a good credit profile and due to legal caps cheap for those with an average one (and not obtainable for those with bad credit I assume).

Re: Migros bank personal loan

Hi everyone,

Does someone have experience with Migrosbank personal loan?. How is my chance to get a loan (20K) from them? I live in Switzerland for 1.5 years with B permit. I’m from non- eu and work in a Swiss company with a decent salary.

Thanks for your feedbacks.

You can try, it costs nothing. Do it online you should get 4.7% interest. Only requirement for foreign nationals is to work here for the last 12 months. I assume you fulfill this requirement.

Go for it if you know all your records are clean. You will get it without any problem and as mentioned online is cheaper.

Re: Migros bank personal loan

I got 100.000k a few years ago on a B permit, took ca 2 weeks to have the cash in my bank account.

The only thing is that whenever you want to talk to them you need to use a toll number and do the talking in DE or FR.
Interest is tax deductible, so that lowers your 4.7% to ca 3.6%. Quite okeish.

For source-tax taxpayers in Ct. Zurich, interest can be deducted by completing the form Antrag auf Neuveranlagung der Quellensteuer, available at this link. Note that the form for 2020 must be filed no later than 31 March 2021:

Re: Migros bank personal loan

yeah even if you pay taxes at source you can still submit a tax declaration like anybody else. it may be beneficial or not, you need to run the numbers with your tax advisor.
