Currency Exchange

Quick qn - what's the most "sensible" way of exchanging currency in Switzerland?

It's coming from one Swiss account (in a foreign currency) to another Swiss account (in CHF).

The value is a bit larger than I would like to hand to currencyfair... or should I trust them?

Re: Currency Exchange

KISS

why not currencyfair but in smaller transactions? Revolt or TransferWise will likely be the recommendation form EF. But if your worried about the size, break it up into the limit of the expenses!

Re: Currency Exchange

Currency fair is no problem, transfer in, exchange, transfer out.

I use them for my business (revenue in USD, expenses in Chf) i do about USD 1 mio per year in 4 or 5 transactions, never any problem and saved a lit in Fx charges

Re: Currency Exchange

Sorted - spoke to the bank, asked them what my options were.

They have agreed to beat the currecyfair rate - so that works for me
