UBS questions

Anybody here using UBS that makes less than 100k a year?

Iíve read on this forum here that they have a lot of hidden fees but those fees arenít listed anywhere on their web page. Is it their bias against Americans?

Also - no interest in savings accounts. Is that just for Americans?

Thanks and have a good day

What hidden fees? Mine are according to what was communicated.

Yes, you need to file some extra documentation due to FATCA, nothing much to do with UBS, more with the US.

Re: UBS questions

If you try to deposit cash you are charged a fee?

I canít find anything on their web page that lists the specific fee.

Thanks.

Any bank will charge you for that. Use one of the machines?

Re: UBS questions

Sure, it is Switzerland. Do all other banks in any country list everything?

Although I am sure cash deposits are listed.

Only fees I get are from the UBS credit card when using it abroad. Do you have the bank account package or just a normal account?think I have the individual account package.

In my experience, I pay for the regular service of having a family account and these are on-going fees. Quite predictable, albeit expensive for what it is. Hey ho, sign of the times and it is CH.

I'm not aware of any specific charge on me due to nationality. In fact, I thought it was one of the few banks here who'd service Americans. I salute them for that!

I have been surprised with fees (so-called damn hidden fees!) on a couple occasions like to order a new gizmo to sign in online or when I requested a paper copies. Do everything online, including service requests. This is the cheapest way to deal with them unless you need to deposit coins, but that will cost you money too (unless it goes into a child's account).

And their interest rate does suck - for everybody. Blame the SNB and all the Central Banks.

You would get charged if you were to withdraw more than a certain amount. They certainly hold your money to ransom. I think it's 3 months notice to withdraw more than 15k for the individual package, for which they charge after the free period but they probably don't tell you how much it will be.

If you just order a new one online they charge you for it. If you call and say it' has broken (which it probably has) then they'll send you one for free.
