Accountant Cost

Hi all,

I needed to have my tax forms filled for the last year and I decided to use an accountant for it (I dont speak German, not chance for me to fill it myself!)

I've been charged 350CHF+VAT for filling the tax forms (200CHF) and advise (150CHF).

I have only worked for 2 months in Switzerland last year (that's when I moved here from England) I am not sure if that's something that would have reduced his work...

I have just been told by someone at the office that I was ripped off big time!

Would you agree 350CHF+VAT is a rip off for the service I've been provided with?

Thanks.

Re: Accountant Cost

CHF 350 is actually a very fair price to pay. It's definitely not a ripoff. Usual fee for a standard tax return is much much more.

Re: Accountant Cost

The cost seems normal for Switzerland.

I also have an accountant file me taxes and the cost is about the same. It doesn't matter if you have 2 months or 12 months of time here in Switzerland, the form is still the same length. It may in fact take more time as they have to apportion your income over only part of the year.

Labour is expensive here in Switzerland especially specialist labour.
