Cashier's Check from a U.S. bank

Hi guys,

I have a question: I closed a business (LLC - was never active in the end) in the U.S. and Bank of America sent me a Cashier's Check in the name of the now dissolved LLC for the cash amount that was still on the account they closed. Is there some way to cash it in here in Switzerland?
Or even in the U.S. (given it's in the name of the old defunct LLC).

It's only a little more than 100 USD, but still... would be a shame

Appreciate it,

Cheers,
Alex

Fees and losses on exchange, or cost of having a USD account here will probably make it worthless, or nearly.

Being that the LLC is dissolved, you don't have any authority to cash it.

That is the equivalent of trying to cash a cheque in a dead manís name! You need to return the cheque to the bank and ask for new one issued in your name.

Rather than re-issue it but to do a transfer to your Swiss account.

Or if they won't do that/it costs too much, can they transfer to another U.S. account?
