rejected wire transfer

I have topped up Revolut via my swiss IBAN but I forgot that they require now additional info in the wire template. Revolut notified me that the wire was rejected due to insufficient info but it haven't come back to my swiss bank account yet. It's been about a week. How long should I wait for it, or is it "lost" until I explicitly enquire at the bank to trace it and get it back?

It will probably sit in a suspense account until someone gets around to looking at it. No harm to give them a push.

It will certainly either be credited to the account you sent it too, failing which it gets bounced back to where it came from.

It took 10 days to appear back in my account today without any move from my side.

Re: rejected wire transfer

thanks for that update; (the same happened ot me last week and it took only a few days to re-appear in my CS account).

But to the cause: do you know what's happening with CHF transfers from local Swiss accounts to the Revolut card? I copied exactly the transfer details (including with a personal code in the "reason for payment" field) that worked in the recent past (i.e. since Revolute got their CH IBAN) and it didn't work...
Now I can't seem to find on the App how to transfer money onto the card...

Re: rejected wire transfer

Hey guys, how do I get a Swiss IBAN in revolut? I received only British IBAN. I suppose this way I will be charged for international bank transfer from my Swiss account.

Why don't you top up your Revolut via card payment?
You can add money from your other credit or debit card.
That way you won't be charged for bank transfer.

IBAN or more specifically the accounts behind them are subject to bank licensing laws. So they can't issue Swiss IBAN numbers until such time as they are granted a Swiss banking license.

Re: rejected wire transfer

The Swiss IBAN belongs to Revolut and is provided by Credit Suisse.

How to find it? In the app tap on Accounts, swipe to the desired currency, tap on Details, there you have Local and SWIFT payment details. For CHF I have Swiss IBAN provided, everything else defaults to British IBAN.

Revolut do not have a Swiss banking license and consequently cannot use Swiss IBANs... which is almost certainly why Credit Suisse is in the mix, not the other way around.

They don't have British banking license either. I've never said they are a bank.

It's simple, they open accounts in existing banks, Lloyds, CreditSuisse, etc, and let you keep your money there. That's why you have to use your unique client number in the details of the wire transfer.
