I need to find a place where I can get USD.
I'll be traveling to a country where I need to purchase an entry Visa - they require the payment in USD --

I'm going to check out a bank or two today - but thought someone could shorten my trip and let me know which ones offer this service.

Any bigger bank, definitely at the airport.

Did you check if they accept credit cards?

Not yet - I just found out I needed USD so I thought I'd ask before I went from place to place looking for an answer. And when you say main station - I'm assuming you mean the Train Station? Or do you mean the Main Branch of the bank?

If cash is really needed, then you can do it in the airport in Zürich close to check-in 3.

Actually most railway stations with a SBB ticket counter will also change money.
I would also imagine that any bank with a counter will also exchange money. USD is fairly common, if you were looking for Ugandan Shillings it may have been a bit more difficult...

Central train station, but you can also get them at Enge and Stadelhofen through SBB Change Service. (don't know if the little ones have them by default in stock)

In town there is a variety of exchange shops and there is Western union at Central station, and CS, UBS and ZKB also sell Dollars.

Costs will differ, but if you only need 110,- the differences will be small so just pick something in your neighbourhood.

UBS will accept an order on line and mail you the cash in 48 hours.

Most of their branches no longer exchange anything other than the euro.

Most Swiss bank offer mail order for their costumers.

Hello,

UBS teller machine at Geneva and Zurich allow withdrawal in CHF, EURO and USD (if you have a bank account with them or from your credit card)..

In addition to handing out free resistors, I also have a USD cash exchange service. Sadly, MCR Services operates only has branches in Basel for now.
