Tax on L permit?? Any idea?

I have recently moved to Switzerland from London and started a job in Zürich after obtaining an L permit. I still feel like there are still lots of things I still don't know here but have been told that you have to pay taxes here each year as they don't get taken out your wages monthly like in the UK... my wage isn't massive >50K but wondering how I go about paying tax and how much it would be on average? Is it worth putting some money aside each month in preparation for a tax bill if this is the case? I don't want any nasty suprises that leave me out of pocket at the end of the year especially if I decide to move back to the UK next summer.....

Any advice is appreciated!

Re: Tax on L permit?? Any idea?

Your taxes will be taken out of your monthly salary.

Only with a C permit you have to pay yourself (or being married to a Swiss etc)
