UK expenses on Swiss tax return?

Just wondering since we have to declare our house in the UK for taxation purposes here can we also claim any repair work expenses for it on the Swiss return too? We've had to have a new boiler put in recently and at the end of 2019 had the kitchen ceiling collapse due to a leak from the water tank above it. This has required a new tank and checks on appliances to make sure they're working properly and ceiling will be repaired later this year.

We don't fill in tax returns for the UK so can't claim anything there.

You can put the expenses in your return. But you cannot claim the expenses. Its only used to work out your wealth which is then used to work out your tax rate.
You of course mean you have to declare the value of your house in the CH tax return

Great! Yeah, I know we can't claim them back as such, but can use to reduce the tax we pay same as we did when we had to have replacement items in the Swiss house. Thanks folks. I did think that would be the case, but wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for confirming.

In the end it will make very little difference to the the final tax bill. Its the value of your house that will effect it the most.
