3a pillar, tax return for year 2018

Hi all,

I have a B permit, and last year (2019) in February I filled a tax return application for the amount of money I deposited to 3a pillar for the year of 2018. Does anybody know when should I expect this tax return? I live in Zurich if that helps.

My understanding is that I can claim tax return for the 3a pillar though I pay tax at source. If someone can confirm this, I would be very happy,

Another philosophical question I have is, why they are so fast at taxing my salary and at the same time they need so much time to return tax for the 3a pillar. Is something I could do to accelerate this tax return?
