We've sold some property abroad and am anxious to put the money somewhere.... where to? I'm also anxious to step in to any titles at these historic all time high levels TBH.

those of you that still have cash at hand and are waiting... what are you doing with it until November (US election)? What market changes are you expecting after the election?
Tesla is good if you wait for a dip anywhere in the low 1400s, there is a possibility of TSLA entering into the S&P Index very soon and google ‘battery day’... could go higher than Amazon in the next few months.

Also Apple as stock will benefit from new revenue streams (like streaming) and a stock split.

Bear in mind though that the market could crash without a COVID vaccine soon, TSLA though would recover as it has already from March.

I don't really believe TSLA at these valuation levels (in fact, I don't get it from $500 upwards).

Splitting stock should not benefit companies. If anything, AMZN could use one, though.

Open Interactive Brokers account and wait for a dip if it comes.

I am now waiting for the same, it will come eventually.

Also I know a couple of tech stocks that have big product announcements coming in Q3 (AMD and Nvidia for example) and this will likely give an easy 10-15% on top of the already sky-high stock prices at the moment. After that all calms down they will likely dip again.

Intel is also currently worth watching as the stock price has dropped sharply due to competition from AMD and due to this security breach they just had, and this will go back up again soon when they announce new product lines.

Will the analysts not already have priced in this information though?

(Then again the market is so dysfunctional at the moment...who knows!)

Sure, however the market could easily rise 100% to 500% before it falls back 30%.
You missed the March lows, why do you think you will assess the situation better next time? You were a technology investor, you should have done OK this year depending on your ability as a stock picker.

Can somebody be so kind and explain to me what had happened to the GoPro stock since its IPO. Within a short period of time, it peaked at around 80 and some change and then basically went down the drain.
go on youtube. look for a channel called financial education and search for gopro videos.

this was a guy who basically went all in on gopro and lost a lot of money.

Re: Markets down - Invest now or wait further?

I've cashed in my gains on the individual stocks I bought in March/April a few weeks ago, IMHO the short-term risks far outweigh the potential gains. If nothing material changes I'll be back mid-October.

The only short-term positions I currently hold are short VIX Oct futures hedged with long Nov futures to arbitrage the spike in October's price.

That guy makes good money from YouTube and also made a killing on Tesla. He's just another guy who thinks he can educate people on buying stocks, but in reality he is just another content creator who invested at the right time in the right stock.

Intel is now down to below 50... it wasn't this low since 2018. While it may drop a little lower still, there may not be another a chance to pick it up at around this price again for a while before it starts to go up again. Huge cyber attack + problems manufacturing 10nm and lower CPU's + AMD hitting them hard with their amazing Zen2 CPU architecture has really given them a tumble and dented their confidence.

Wow it's on a PE of 9, thats getting into value stock territory, that certainly puts some perspective of Tesla being valued at a PE of 735 because it's a tech stock, granted it's fallen 23% to reach this rating

Bought intel this afternoon at 48.3. About 1% of my total wealth so nothing much but it's worth a punt.

Also bought Pacific Horizon Investment Trust c. 4% of total wealth.

good luck. i was looking for $42 before their recent 7nm troubles, now looking for a price in the 30s. maybe i'm being too greedy
