I got it in 2008 as I was still a US citizen at the time, but didn't want to cash the check due to the costs, so gave it to my daughter when she went for 6 months later that year, thus the money was spent in the US.

What I wonder is if it will be added to earned income for the next year or is it tax exempt? Will there be another 80 page manual to figure out where to put this?.... with mistakes and contradictions and links to other 80 page manuals..
