How to ask for a tax reassessment

Hi All:

I had a higher income in December 2019 and pay a high tax rate at that month, however my income in other months (January to November 2019) is much lower and after calculation, I think I can get some tax back. Can anyone share with me how I can ask for a tax reassessment?

I am now living in Zurich and holding a B permit. I just filed a tax return form, but after submitting it, I realise it is different from a tax reassessment request.

Thanks in advance

Did you pay higher tax because you got a double salary in December?

You say you hold a B permit. Are you only taxed at source or are you required to file taxes as well?

Taxed at source, but it your annual income is above 130000, you also need to file the tax return.

Then that's normal. It should go back to the regular figures after that month.

Re: How to ask for a tax reassessment

If you are taxed at source I don’t think you need to do anything really. The only reason you paid more tax in Dec is because you got paid more. Now if you have a 3rd pillar contributions and interest payments then you can ask for a tax reassessment here https://www.services.zh.ch/basis/angebot under ” Antrag auf Neuveranlagung der Quellensteuer”
