So 400,000 property
I pay 130,000 upfront and take out 10-year mortgage for the remaining 270,000.

Fixed-rate mortgage by provider 1
10 years from 0.84%
Interest costs
CHF 182/month
-
Fast-forward 10 years and it's time to re-negotiate my mortgage for another 10 years.

Bank now thinks the property is worth 700,000 and not 400,000. Does that mean the new mortgage will be based on the 700,000 price or the original 400,000 price?
You’re over-thinking this again.

I have had the same mortgage here for nearly 20 years over 2 successive properties. There is no re-negotiation or recalculation. They simply tell what interest rate they can offer for the next 1/5/10 years. You can accept the rate or pay it back and find another mortgager...

Mine also - in fact I considered increasing the mortgage a little to pay for some renovation, and found out it would have to go through a review process.

Without any changes there was nothing to do - got a link to choose my offer (length of fix), result was lower than my current rate and lower than anything else advertised, signed the one page extension document they sent, job done.

My wife suggested Slack at IPO, thinking it is another Zoom. I read about origins of the company and in 20 minutes knew it is a bail out for original investors. Luck has nothing to do with it. If you have read that original founder failed at video game and built Slack on software leftover of that video game to bail out himself and his original investor in that dumb video venture you would have steered clear too.
There is no hindsight involved, You invest in the best in class when they IPO. How much insight one needs to conclude : Visa or GS or UPS is going public....Should I invest? Will their business model fail?
Slack is a decent product but they have a tough competitor in Microsoft and for this kind of application, the huge microsoft machinery/channel counts for a lot.

Many entrepreneurs have multiple failures, it comes with being risk takers and willing to try hard. Using your new favourite Palantir as an example, Peter Thiel failed miserably with his second company Clarion, and half of the Palantir board were with him on that venture as well.

I hope your stock forecasting is better than your premature election forecast.

Yes and they (MSFT) have the Enterprise relationships + the integrations with what most enterprises use Office365... there really is no friction with Teams

Slack was an obvious acquisition target for microsoft but at that price why buy when they have the expertise to build it quickly themselves?
