Re: Salary Equivalents

I am a senior solutions architect making 100k euro in Cologne, Germany. How much in CHF it's equivalent would be if I am offered a similar position in Basel?

Re: Salary Equivalents

Thought I'd post my salary equivalent since I've recently landed in Zurich from London, although this is specific to a smaller US software company in hyper-growth.

I was in the UK for 3 years in the same job: Staff Presales Technical Consultant/Solutions Engineer (one level over Senior - some companies call it "Princial").
In Zurich, same company after internal transfer and maybe a small bump in the pay + CHF equivalence.

UK > Base: £100k, On target earning (OTE) £145k
Switzerland> Base: CHF 198k, On target earning (OTE) CHF 260k

Whichever way you calculate, including the higher rent, health cost, etc - you are still better off here vs the UK at the moment in my opinion.

I'm much more junior than you, but my experience was also that the Swiss pay (160k chf) offered was pretty much double the UK number in £ sterling (£80k). Agree with your conclusion too.
