Poursuite after I left Switzerland

Hello,

I left Switzerland 4 months ago. And now I received an "acte de poursuite" because some of my family members still live in the same apartment they left a note to go pick up an acte de poursuite from the post office. I have no idea for what it is and it is not possible for me to go to Switzerland now(I am not a CH citizen and I don't have a residence permit). What can I do know ?

1.Is it possible to know for which bill it is ?
2. Is it possible that I pay the amount and some fee so it will be annulled ? What is the procedure to get it annulled ?
3. Can someone else pick it up for me because I am not in Switzerland ?
4. Will having a poursuite in Switzerland affect me if I live in another EU country?

Thank you, all help is welcomed

Re: Poursuite after I left Switzerland

The "invitation to collect" the poursuite (debt claim) will normally contain a power of attorney document. Someone else can then be granted authority to collect the poursuite.

The poursuite will indicate the unpaid invoice(s).

After paying the debt and costs, the debtor can request the creditor to remove the poursuite from the poursuite register. The creditor does not have to do this.
