Dividends in Swissquote

Hi!

How does Swissquote pay dividends in foreign currency? Into accounts in Swissquote or into external accounts?

Thank you!

Re: Dividends in Swissquote

Swissquote pays dividends in the currency the dividend and shares are in.

If you set up another currency in your Swissquote account you can easily convert to that currency. You will see the updated rate of exchange very few second by re-loading before you convert. For conversions of CHF50,000 phone for a possible better rate.

To transfer out is easy, but there is a charge eg. £9.00 to transfer out GBP to the UK...

Re: Dividends in Swissquote

Thanks AbFab!

Just to be clear - I can have accounts in different currencies in Swissquote where dividends are paid in that currency and then I can use to reinvest or be paid out to another account?

Yes. In fact it's just one trading account with different currencies. I run CHF, EUR, US$ and GBP. I transfer dividends out to my Swiss bank - for which the blighters charge CHF2.00 per domestic transfer...
