Board [of directors] fees

I am a Swiss tax resident. I plan to receive board of director fees from an EU country. Will I pay tax in the EU country, Switzerland or both? If I have to pay in Switzerland then what is the tax rate?

Re: Board fees

If you're solely Swiss resident then all of your income is taxed here, regardless of source. The rate is not fixed, dependant on canton, status, overall earnings, etc. etc. but if you're already paying tax here as you imply then this will just be added into your normal tax return and treated like any other income.

Ace 1 already replied to all of your questions.

Switzerland has signed a double taxation agreement (DTA) with more than 100 countries including all the EU and EFTA countries.

That would depend on the other country, assuming a DTA you will get a credit against any foreign tax paid to use towards any further Swiss liability if any. For example the UK has a 12,500 tax free allowance so if you got 12,500 no tax would be payable in the UK, I suspect the Swiss would want a cut depending on how the canton understands 'taxable' as 'tax paid' or not.
