| | Anybody had experience with Swissential?
Hello, my husband been approached by the advisor from Swissential offering investments into 3d pillar. I'm always skeptic about that kind of offers but would like to hear about any real experience/feedback/advise. Thanks!

No experience but it is a financial planning company so they will try to sell more than just pillar 3 https://swissential.com/ Our mission is to help our clients fully understand their options and take control of their financial future by providing the right answers to their questions, and helping them make informed, decisions. | This user would like to thank roegner for this useful post: | |

My view is simple - if they approach me they are immediately disqualified from getting my business, permanently.
Anyone who does cold calling is more likely to be pushy at all times and sell you stuff you don't really need.
And if you need a financial planner, ask for a recommendation generally, don't check up on a sample of one.

| | Re: Anybody had experience with Swissential? Do not take any insurances tied in to your 3rd pillar investments.
Keep (life) insurances and investments separate - in general.
If you want to invest your 3rd pillar in an "economical" fashion, look at all the latest solutions out there - VIAC, Finpension, Frankly etc.
Managed funds within banks are prohibitively expensive.

All else apart, if they have money to pay sales people to contact the public, where does that money come from?

Thanks! Would you have any recommendations of financial planners? | | | | | Teach yourself. Atm we live in quite a simple financial world and there aren't many real choices open to you.
Rule 1: middlemen (like financial planners) will drain your performance

| | Re: Anybody had experience with Swissential? Be aware of cold-calling. As others have said, they tend to be pushy and try to sell you more than you need, plus they may charge a hefty amount of management fee to cover for their marketing expense (cold calling included). There are also lots of scam calls pretending to be a legitimate business just to get your personal information. Too many people have fallen for it. |
