Escal Swiss State pension simulation

Hi

I was interested to try to forecast my probably swiss state pension using
https://www.acor-avs.ch/requerant

It didn't ask how long I've been working in CH. I assume that's a factor ? Any insights ?

Re: Escal Swiss State pension simulation

I think you can add that at the last part "insured with the OASI" and then change to the years you´ve been here.

mmmm... changing the OASI dates to take account of how long i've worked here made sense

but.. i have my doubts on the tool beyond that.. i changed my salary 'a lot' and kept getting the same pension amount

Re: Escal Swiss State pension simulation

You can even do exact salary for each year to get a more accurate no.

Maybe I am missing something but it looks like this is no longer possible with the current ESCAL. (It was in the past)

Edit: Still possible. Once you get the result you have the option to edit each an every year.
Best result if you have your personal AHV account statement which you can order here:
https://www.ahv-iv.ch/en/Leaflets-fo...vidual-account

If your salary always was at the higher end, it does not increase your AHV as the AHV is capped anyway.

Re: Escal Swiss State pension simulation

Thanks again...

So, yep I'm seeing a pro-rated 'cap' on what I'll get out of Pillar 1.. but my % contributions out of my salary.. are not capped ?

That's how I'm reading this

https://www.ahv-iv.ch/p/890.e

In the case of salaried individuals, the employee and the employer each pay half of the total contribution, i.e. 4.35 % of the income on which OASI contributions must be paid (no upper limit).
The employer must transfer the total contribution directly to the OASI compensation office.

and

Individuals who reach retirement age are entitled to an old-age pension. In Switzerland,
retirement age for women is 64, while for men it is 65. The monthly old-age pension ranges
from a minimum of 1 185 Swiss francs to a maximum of 2 370 Swiss francs.

(I did see a way to change the spread of your salaries per year of paying in.. the button is there somewhere... but I'm starting to think the 'cap' is quite low (for an average expat salary anyway))
