Foreign (EU) Property as Collateral
 

Good Morning. Does anybody know if Swiss banks can accept a property in Italy as a collateral for a mortage here in Switzerland?



My case his : I have a house in Italy. I want to use it as a collateral to get a mortgage to buy a house / apartment here in Switzerland. Do you know of any bank that would accept this?

Generally no. But you can try asking. Just sell the house and use the cash.
