Opening a joint account with a friend who is leaving CH

Hello All,
A friend of mine on a C permit may have to return to her non-EU home country as her husband sadly just passed from Cancer. She can receive her husband's AHV, but she has no bank account here and would be difficult to maintain one here when she has no address here.

I thought one way to facilitate her payments is if I open a separate joint account with her and she can receive her monthly AHV payment this way and then I can find ways of sending it to her abroad.

Question is: Is what I am doing ligit in the eyes of Swiss authorities, in particular in view of me applying for Swiss citizenship in a year or less. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I can not answer your question, however she can recieve the AHV payment abroad.

"The beneficiary of the AHV can choose his/her payment address freely (transfer to Switzerland or abroad). The AHV benefits for people living abroad are generally paid out in the local currency of their payment address."

"Exception for recipients of a survivor's pension: If you are a citizen of a country with which Switzerland has not concluded a social security agreement, but the deceased was Swiss national or was a citizen of a country with which Switzerland has concluded a social security agreement, you are still entitled to your benefit abroad."
