I really don't believe in diversification, I would only invest in something if I was happy to invest my 90% of net worth in it. If I don't think it's that good then I generally don't bother.
I tend to agree. Diversification had big potential to dilute. But it depends a lot on what that something is. Invest 90% of net worth in S&P 500 or MSCI World? Yes. Invest 90% in stock xyz? No way.

You might have notices that the richest people in the world have in excess of 90% of their net worth in 1 company, I got close with Apple, then Fundsmith which is now split with Smithson. It's very difficult to know enough about what you invest in once you diversify. S&P 500 Or Berkshire Hathaway are also on my shortlist that fit the bill. If you don't wish to receive any taxable income then Smithson or Berkshire are the options.

I put 5% of liquid cash, not even net worth into crypto and two years later it was 90% of everything I had. And the reason I did it, 0% from the bank and poor index returns.

Re: Dogecoin

Investing strategies all have to do with what is your end goal (and how realistic it is).

There's always a risk vs. payoff trade.

If you want to have some extra scratch for retirement, then play it safe.

If you want to upgrade your lifestyle, then YOLO into something you feel can pay off big.

I have a feeling that a payoff of a few 100K doesn't change one's lifestyle too much in CH (unless you're in debt or struggling paycheck to paycheck - in which case, you're far from a lifestyle upgrade).

A gain of a few 100k can be a deposit to buy a house, which is arguably quite a lifestyle change.

Look, if I didn't know this man had $$$ invested in this currency I would say he is trying to ruin it.

Maybe he was reading about this and got confused as to the technique

Pick one of the following:

- He's dating again and needed to impress a hippy chick.

- A particularly nasty autopilot crash had to be wiped off the headlines.

- While it's true that he hasn't sold any bitcoin (yet), he did buy the mother of all puts 30 seconds before tweeting...

I wonder what will happen to Tesla's share price when he ends up in prison for price manipulation. It won't be long now

Crazy games he plays cutting branch he is sitting on. Was he forced by SEC while threatened that business will be shut down if he won’t comply hence the tweet?

Maybe he is planning refuge by SpaceX to Mars and leave all the problems caused to investors behind on Earth?

It’s right though about Bitcoin being energy inefficient and anything that is based on PoW should be migrated to PoS.

Here’s competition that never sleeps taking advantage of the business overnight:

I don't think dogecoin or any of the cyber currencies is governed by the SEC.

It only shows that cryptocurrencies are hot assets to be considered and will stay for unforeseeable future. They need to be regulated for sure, preferably less on tax side.

I don't think you understand the fundamental point of cryptocurrencies.

I cannot believe you used the word “-currencies” in the sentence and they would let you you off the hook so easily.

Go on Doge!!!

Was down to 0.32 after the Elon saga and I admit I was worried (but stocked up), now 0.53! A whopping 20% rise overnight..

I can see this going to $10+ after this episode which was a real test. I’m also looking at the related SHIB https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiba_...in?wprov=sfti1 now too. What fun all of this time off (from my business) has become.

I should have waited until 0.32, but was too trigger happy at 0.46

I reckon it still might drop back so I wouldn’t worry so you can buy more if that’s your plan, 0.46 imo is good anyway depending on how many you bought..
