in my monthly payslip, is it correct that i'm being taxed as a single in Switzerland?

Re: married but taxed as a single?

I think it's more complicated manner and you'd need professional to anawer that to you

I guess you pay tax-at-source ? Otherwise you should have someone to do it for you. Terms as "centre of your family life" comes in mind and associated expenses around it - kids allowance and other stuff (as well as whenever your wife is working , is there double-taxation treaty between countries etc etc).

Re: married but taxed as a single?

I'm the same and had to prove my wife lived and worked in UK and my kids dates of births etc and then they adjusted my witholding tax code accordingly.

In terms of child benefits etc I have to do a claim each March via my employers HR team and they claim it back for me so in effect working against the UK tax year. I had to show how much I was getting in UK child benefits via confirmation letter from the UK benefits agency and then they pay the Swiss benefits deducting the amount of UK ones already received and pay me the difference.
