I am working in Switzerland with a B permit, so I need to claim tax return for my incomes last year.
Last year, I transfer over 50,000 chfs to my Mum in China for her medical treatments. My mum does not have a bank card, so I transferred the money to my younger sister first.
Does anyone know whether this kind of family support (I can also translate and provide my mother's medical report) can be used to reduce the paid tax?

You might be able to make a social deduction if your parents are dependent on you for support (albeit capped for federal tax at CHF 6'500, and mileage may vary per Canton).

Not sure how it works in case of the parents living abroad and how you get the confirmation that they are dependent on support.
