What Notary percentage?

I was wondering what percentage a Notary would charge as I have been told anything between 2.5% and 5%?

What determines the rate that one would have to relate to, if I want to do some pre-estimates of the total cost?

- New building (house/apartment)
- Buying a previous owned and habitatet house / Apartment?
- Price brackets etc?

Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

Re: What Notary percentage?

you could ask them, they will answer. I don't think it's a percentage.

Re: What Notary percentage?

To be able to answer it would be helpful if you mentioned in which canton, since there is a difference.

Re: What Notary percentage?

Assuming that the OP is in the Canton Fribourg (based on previous posts): https://bdlf.fr.ch/app/de/texts_of_law/261.16

However, this is only notary costs and not the taxes owed on the transaction (Handänderungssteuer).
