Renewal of mortgage-SARON rates

Hi all,
I am down to renew part of my mortgage and I was wondering if people know how much SARON rates are?
Also, is one able to switch lenders for that portion of the mortgage if not happy with the rate the current lender offers? If so, any special conditions?
Are brokers who advertise online reliable?
Cheers,
Banchang

Re: Renewal of mortgage-SARON rates

UBS is quoting 0.9%. They are also quoting 0.9% for 2, 3, 4, and 5 years.

No reason why you can’t switch lenders.

No experience with brokers.

Have a look at Comaris(dot)com.

Re: Renewal of mortgage-SARON rates

I've recommended them before and I'll recomend Hypoplus as a Mortgage broker...

Copied (and editted) from my previous post:

I used hypoplus and had a great experience with them. I'll send you the contact from our broker as direct message. You can also contact me with any specific questions.

Hypoplus is paid by the lender, so you, the borrower don't see any of the costs for their services. As they are paid by the lender (and you don't see this fee), you'll have to have some kind of trust in them that they recomend the lender with the best offer and not the one who pays the highest commition. Of course, this wasn't possible for me to varify.

The process was pretty simple. We had a meeting with their broker, we submitted all our documentation and the hypoplus agent came back to us with a fantastic offer, which was much much better than any of the offers I had gotten from three banks to whom I spoke directly.

if you already have one mortgage tranche, another bank will not normally give you another loan as they may not be able to get security for it. if you want to switch lenders, you probably need to switch completely. that's why it is not good to have multiple maturities unless you're able to pay off at each maturity date otherwise, you are locked to the current provider with whatever rates they will give you.

Also have a look at https://key4.ch/en/what-is-key4/

This is part of UBS and you can get on-line quotes. They are offering SARON at 0.57% and 5 year fixed rate of 0.61.
