Really Justin, another one of these "crisis" threads where you claim to make only 1000chf per month and yet house/help people for free, the story and details of which seem to change each time? Sigh.

On the off-chance that the bill part is real, then do as you wrote and ask them to pay in instalments.
Iím 100% real stop adding to online abuse the internet is meant to be used to help people not for online abuse.

Last time I asked wincasa for instalments they said no thatís why Iím worried

What did they actually do?

Did they just give you a replacement card to use in the machine? That shouldnít cost anywhere near 400chf.

Or did they have to change the card reader and issue all the tenants with new cards? That could explain the high cost.

Why would they do that? Certainly nobody is going to break in through the locked door to do their laundry for free!

Re: Unexpected bill

Wouldn't your liability insurance (Haftpflichtversicherung) cover you in a case like this?

Although maybe you would have to say that YOU lost it and not your old tenant (otherwise they would rightly expect your tenant's insurance to cough up).

You do have liability insurance right??? And of course, whether it is worthwhile or not would depend on your deductible.

Re: Unexpected bill

Take things a step at a time. If they come back and say, ok, installments, then good. If not, then you need to find the next step. Worrying won't achieve anything.

It's possible that your alcoholism is affecting your critical thinking and ability to cope. I suggest you seek help. Either talk to your doctor, priest, pastor, or contact AA. https://aabaselenglish.ch/

I'm locking the thread for now as I feel further discussion is unlikely to yield anything beneficial. This forum can point you in the direction of help (which has been done), but it cannot replace the help of experts.
