Same here. The only "problem" is that you have to be careful when changing phones or installing new software. When updating to the latest iOS, I had to activate the phone from scratch and wait for a letter from UBS with the code. Fortunately, the waiting time was something like 1-2 days.
An iOS upgrade does not trigger this whatsoever.

The only time you need to wait for postal confirmation (and it will arrive the next morning) is when you first apply for a new UBS remote access code. What may trigger it is if you are using a completely different IP address, or other identifying devices (from your mobile) when upgrading. At least in my experience.

Now, I think it might have been the case with my new corporate device on which I recently installed the UBS apps

Does your “corporate device” allow for non-corporate apps to be downloaded Willy-Nelly

Been having a problem with our card reader so popped into the local branch of UBS to get a new one. Well, we can get one immediately, but would cost CHF20 or we can apply for a new one and get it free. Since we don't have an urgent need we opted to apply for a new one.

Surely it's cheaper for them to simply hand over a new card reader on the spot than it is to fill out an online form and then have to dispatch the card reader in the post to get to us. Weird.
To do that they’d have to carry a large stock of them around the country and as the trend is to move to the app that would be wasteful and it is cheaper for them to get people on the app.

Re: UBS replacement card reader logic - or not

I love the app and I love not having to use that stupid log in device anymore. I rarely use internet banking anymore as the mobile app can do almost everything.

Re: UBS replacement card reader logic - or not

And what arrived in the post this morning? A debit notice for CHF20 to our bank account. So not free after all. Should have just picked one up at the time.
