Money Transfer from eBank

Will the bank check the name of beneficiary when transferring?

The problem is I bought something from Ricardo.ch. The sender give me his bank account. I transfer the money to his account. The transfer has already been certified by the banks (from UBS to Credit Suisse). But he said he still did not received the money. I do not think he lies because it is stupid. I have his address and telephone.

Is it possible that he provided the wrong account number? The only thing I can guarantee is his name. I have to type the name of Beneficiary when I use "UBS e-Banking -> Payment within Switzerland"

Another question is if I sent the money to the wrong person. What can I do?
Thank you.

Why don't you ask UBS where it went? They are the experts.

Failing that why not ask the seller to verify the bank details you have used?

Re: Money Transfer from eBank

Usually, they dont check the name.

I would:

1. Doublecheck the transfer you made and make sure you transferred to the correct account.

2. If it was less than 2 business days ago, I would wait 2-3 more. Sometimes, banktransfers take time.

I have already "Create Message to Client Advisor" with the account information of beneficiary.
I think there must be the mistake of the "Beneficiary's bank". I found just now some Credit Suisse(CS) have the same "Clearing no". I think the money should go to CS in Olten, but I remember I sent the money to CS in Zurich. If this is the case, can the money be successfully transfered with the correct IBAN?

Yes it can, but the answer you get from your client advisor will be more reliable than any info a random on the internet (me) can give you.

Re: Money Transfer from eBank

It was happened to me. I paid for Ricardo bought item from UBS to Credit suisse account. Money was out from my Account. But he said that he did not received the money. I complain to the my Bank UBS. After 2 weeks money was return to my Account.

You have to do the same. If you have UBS e banking go to the mail box and write an e mail to them . I think it called in german ( suchauftrag )

regards

Thank you. It seems that e-banking sometimes is not faster than hiking.
Let's what happened.

At least one bank does check the name and even if the account number is correct, if the name is missing or incorrect then the payment is returned.
