Pound to Franc exchange Rate

Hi all,
I am transferring a decent sum of money back to my UK account this week. Has anyone any predictions of whether they think I might gain more if I leave it until Friday? I always appear to pick a bad time to transfer for some reason.

Cheers

My fearless prediction for the exchange rate: "It will fluctuate".

Well I have spent the last hour trying to research it. If the GB govt cut interest rates tomorrow then there is a decent chance it will go in my favour. We will see.

Here's a site I use to keep current and know the immediate exchange rate.

If you have left it until today to convert CHF to GBP it looks as if you have done the right thing. My converter is showing 1.887 this morning, the lowest I have seen.

Re: Pound to Franc exchange Rate

Credit Suisse futures put it an 1.94 in one year's time; this is quite similar to the current rate.
If you believe in what the futures market says. I don't.

Glad you have done OK out of it.

Not good news the other way round though. From over 2.4 last November to around 1.9 now has increased cost substantially for anyone travelling to Switzerland, of transferring funds over.
