Child Allowance question

Hi

I am sorry if I have posted under wrong forum.

Could anyone explain me what is the rule of child allowance in switzerland.

I have few friends who get child allowance even if his kids are not in switzerland.

Is it true

Thanks

Yes, you can get Swiss child allowance for your kids even if they're not in Switzerland, provided that the other parent doesn't get any allowance (or less than the Swiss amount) in the country where he/she lives.

The HR department at your company should be able to help you apply for this, if applicable.
