AECS in Horgen - Credit Suisse's credit card business - somebody work there?

Most major credit cards are issued by AECS in Switzerland. It's a branch of Credit Suisse, in Horgen ZH.

I have a problem with them that I don't know how to resolve.

My applications for various credit card applications bounce back all the time. About 2 years ago I tried to get an AMEX. --> NOPE, thank you.
Last year when Coop launched the "free" Mastercard and mailed me the ready-to-sign form I signed. ---> NOPE, thank you.
In both cases, rejection did not take longer than 2 days.

If they bounced my AMEX application I could say "oh..ok... I'm not a high roller enough for them." BUT THE COOP SUPERKARTE?!!
Old retired folks with no money can get it ... but I can't!

I have two regular Visa cards from Cornerbank and Viseca, always pay full-in. and never any problems with my credit.

The only thing I could think of is when I came to CH, 6 years ago, I needed a car and asked for a cash loan from Credit Suisse.
After like one week of being here ...or so..
They DID reject that (having matured since, I think I would've rejected it too)

I'm on my 4th car lease now and not a single late payment. My records should look clean.

I'd like to chuck my current credit cards and get just one AMEX (no, not the Centurion )
AECS is the ONLY company for AMEX in CH.

Any suggestions from yous guys?!
Like
-call customer care and just ask "wtf is wrong with my record?"
-etc...?

Could really use some insider tipps now.

thanks
Greg

I think there is someone here working there. Search the site for "supercard" and have a look at those threads and posts and someone gives the impression he works there.

Can't remember who.

FWIW Amex is probably the worst card to have in Switzerland.

Why not ask your Gemeinde for a credit check? It could be that there is a record against your name or that you live somewhere where there is a default. In either case you would initially be rejected. If you are not sure how to get this information ask your bank. They will do it for around SFr. 25.

Re: AECS in Horgen - Credit Suisse's credit card business - somebody work there?

Had the same issue with getting a gold card from UBS. Even though I had goldcards (all master cards) before in various countries with various banks, I had been a customer for 5 years and was way above the salary level, the d***s at UBS told me that I had to build up Bonität.

They lost a customer and I applied for the Swiss Visa Gold, which I received within no-time. Probably you can apply for it here: http://www.miles-and-more.com/online...st=89422523601

Opposite for me.

Corner card said no, UBS said yes. On an "L" permit...

L for Lucky then ;-) or unlucky, depending on which way you see it. I am back to my former bank in Liechtenstein and I am so much more satisfied with them.

AECS in Horgen produces Supercards. I am sure there is an off-the-cuff comment from someone working there.

I'm buggered if I'm searching for it mind you!!
