So you're saying because someone earning a million/pa only saves 20-40K by living in Zug vs Schwyz, it isn't justified because property prices are so much cheaper in Schwyz.

I'm not sure it's true though that real estate is such a Schnšppchen in the lowest-tax areas of Schwyz relative to Zug.
What Iím saying you donít have to be in the cheapest municipality in Schwyz for it to make the difference. In Zug without 2.5m canít buy anything more or less in Schwyz even 1m can take you far.

Maybe Iím missing something haha

Re: Cantonal Tax map

Possibly you're comparing areas with the lowest property prices in Schwyz with the highest-price areas within Zug. So 2.5m would likely be an entry budget in Zug 6300, but there are areas that are much lower cost. And the whole of Zug canton is low tax, while there is more variability within Schwyz.

Yes, exactly I was not comparing apples to apples but thatís the point itís not worth it to buy, though renting is much better in Zug. Hope that makes sense.

Was wondering if anyone else had this discussion Zug vs Schwyz (not the lowest tax municipalities).
