Welcome to the Forum.
The search function would suggest Britshop.ch. I know Jelmoli in Zurich sells it, not sure if any retailers in Basel would have it. I guess another Yorky, Basel based, will be along soon. |

He only wanted pot noodles and Yorkshire tea and forgot the tea (not after ordering their enitre stock of chocolate no doubt ).

I visited the Migros supermarket near the center of Lörrach last week, and there I saw Yorkshire Tea for sale!

Danny's Tee near Munsterplatz has a wide selection of tea products. Being American I can't really say if it is good tea but I enjoy it.

| | Where to get Yorkshire Tea?
Where can I find/order Yorkshire Gold Tea? Internet shops always charge so much to deliver to Switzerland.
Looking for internet site or shop in Basel area.

Hi there,
Funny - this is the tea we drink and we bring it through from the UK whenever we can. Meanwhile you can go to Ebay UK and have it sent too (we opened a PO Box and most do, in Germany) and bulk tea can be sent there. Hope this helps.

The Yorkshire Teas are renowned in all corners of the globe for their fine qualities. Indeed the Yorkshire Dales are famous for their rich soils and abundant sunshine, providing an excellent environment for productive tea plantations. In picture below, one can see workers tirelessly striving to harvest the best teas that Yorkshire can provide:

It does help, but how did you open a PO Box in Germany? Which website did you use?
Thanks.

Don't forget to bring back some polluted water and a bit of gone-off milk from an intensively farmed dairy herd. Yorkshire tea is not the same with thick creamy milk and clear as crystal water.

I bought a selection of a few brands of tea back from the UK. They all taste very different with Basel water (worse) as compared with the water in South wales (very soft).
Anyone else having the same experience? Any suggestions on what to use to improve the water quality so it tastes better in a cup of tea? I guess Basel water is quite rich in mineral content.. anyone tried those Brita filtered kettles? it doesnt say anything about filtering out mineral content.

I have had the same experience as you, almost exactly. I was being serious about pollutants, flouride, etc. There is also the effect of altitude on boiling point of water, so brew times differ for different altitudes. I think the milk is a biggie. Even here in Switzerland, the milk tastes very different in tea between farms (unpasteurised also). Then again, the blend of milks you get in a supermarkets here are yet more variables. | Quote: | | | | | I heard the tea is blended for the water in the area it is being sold (i.e. hard or solft..).
