Re: Weetabix

Just for the record, after much trial and error, the only way to eat weetabix in a car is by opening the window and waiting for the curves so the crumbs get swept out reasonably well.
And chewing. Lots of dry, dry chewing.

Wanted to ask about if weetabix can be purchased in CH and then... I'm happy to have found this thread. We are a family of 5 and we all love weetabix. Will try the cake too this weekend!

Trials and Errors? Try it with warm milk. You can even put some honey in. Good sweet start for a nice day!

Unfortunately, with my level of English, no.

You're British, you live in England, your native language is English and you make signs in English (presumably) for a living... Is Lymington really that bad now?

By the way, have you moved to CH yet? If so, please update your location in your profile.

I'm Macedonian. Naturalised British. Not yet in CH, we had a baby and that postponed the move. Hopefully very soon.

Re: Weetabix

Just going by your profile on EF.

But that doesn't change the fact that Weet-Bix is impossible to find in Switzerland.

Really? You're not looking very hard then. Large size Shredded Wheat on the other hand - definitely impossible.

Change your glasses and re-read the post .... plus you need to realise that 22yards is a colonial convict.

Never heard of or seen those TiMow. Not surprised they're not stocked here then.

Stop confusing people with the Aussie version!

If you're so desperate to find the stuff go and make your own thread about it.

To be accurate, Weetabix is an inferior version of Weet-Bix. Weet-Bix was the original and is still the best. (And yes, it really is different. Even I, with my completely unsophisticated taste buds, can appreciate the difference.)

Good ol' Swiss economy -- why stock a range when one will do. They're pandering to the masses, with far more British shoppers here than Australian and New Zealander.

Actually, no. For 8.90chf you can get a small jar from bider and tanner. Or do what I did and go to England and get 15 jars for £1.99 each. If you're desperate I may be able to spare 1 single jar.
