The point is that the reason for the quality of the restaurant is neither the slogans nor the ideology but that his contract with a leading Indian travel agency forces him to live up to given standards. Indian travel agencies DO control not only hotels but also restaurants. I just opposed the romantic side of the matter, but clearly see the commercial side.

I am however perfectly sure that, over the full year, the majority of the guests there are not Indians but a mix of Brits and Swiss. In view of the popularity of Interlaken among Brits, the truth might rather be a restaurant run by Indians for Brits
Ah, so you know the restaurant as well! I missed that earlier - mea culpa

DB spoke highly of it - how would you rate it?

No, I do not know that restaurant but I know Interlaken and the Canton of Bern, and so, things are fairly obvious !

So, to summarise for the benefit of all here - you know Interlaken, and you know that Interlaken is in The Canton Bern, and you you know more about a restaurant that you've never been to than someone who has.

Fair enough.

I'm out!
