Re: Tonight's dinner?

Bachforelle (brown trout) fillet saltimbocca with carrot/spinach/gruyere risotto.

All thanks to a little flyer I was handed at Migros yesterday, advertising bio products. It contained the recipe for these two dishes (I added the spinach to the risotto to enhance the vitamin content for my toddler) and when I read it I thought it looked rather tasty, which, I can confirm, it was

Re: Tonight's dinner?

I shall thinly slice some Sicilian artichokes (the smallish ones, remove top and discard tough outer leaves) and cook them in a frying-pan with olive oil, garlic and lots of parsley. Add some thinly-sliced potatoes and some parmiggiano, cook for 10-15 minutes - serve with a nice green salad, and you've got dinner served!

Re: Tonight's dinner?

Again, as "oh, no"...? I love meatloaf . Even got my own grinder for this. Just gota test it.

I am totally cheating tonight, I am baking in individual little gratin baking dishes: finely sliced potatoes, ton of bits of meat, brocoli, gruyere on top and gratin sauce with gratin spices.

Poppadums. Just poppadums.

(there was going to be a curry, but discovered we're fresh out of onions... so fried up another batch of poppadums and had those instead, with lime pickle and mango chutney )
